Studied the art of sculptures at the Muthesius Academy of Art in Kiel. Represented at numerous European art fairs and 250 exhibitions worldwide.
Over 60 monumental works in public spaces in Germany and internationally.
Plickat’s sculptures can be found in many German and international museums.
2011 first teaching position at the prestigious academies in Beijing and Hangzhou. Appointed by the China Sculpture Institute Beijing as an official consultant to the China.
Guest professorships: UCM Madrid, Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, Madrid, and others.
Preferred materials: at first wood, but later marble (Carrara), bronze, Corten steel, etc.
2012 Art Prize of the “Schleswig-Holstein Economy”.
2013 Opening of his own sculpture park “Koppel der Künste”, Bredenbek
2015 Awarded the Macquarie Prize, the highest art award for sculpture in Australia, various other art awards followed, 2017 NordArt Prize.
